“Certified. Experienced. Proven.”
Jonathan is a certified professional dog trainer with over 12 years of experience addressing a wide range of behavioral challenges—from severe reactivity and aggression to service dog task training and early puppy development. He began his career under the mentorship of a seasoned trainer, assisting in the breeding and training of police dogs for law enforcement agencies while also working with service dogs for individuals with medical or mobility-related needs.
Jonathan later joined a company that integrated pharmacotherapy into its training programs, focusing on helping fearful, anxious, and reactive dogs build confidence and behavioral stability. For the past five years, he has owned and operated Explore Dog Training, delivering personalized, in-home training programs across Metro Atlanta.

In recent years, Jonathan has partnered with multiple dog rescues throughout Georgia and the northeastern United States, working to rehabilitate dogs pulled from high-risk shelters. Under his guidance, these dogs are prepared for adoption and then transported to rescue organizations in northern states, where shelter overcrowding is less severe.
Jonathan holds multiple industry-leading credentials: he is certified by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), is a Certified Behavior Adjustment Training Instructor (CBATI), and is snake aversion training certified. He also serves as an American Kennel Club (AKC) evaluator for the Canine Good Citizen, Community Canine, and Urban Canine programs, and is an approved instructor for the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program.
His approach is rooted in real-world results, supported by years of hands-on experience and a deep commitment to the science of canine behavior.

AKC S.T.A.R. PUPPY PROGRAM
"Our puppy training program is for dogs 8 weeks to 5 months old and includes crate training, potty training, house manners, socialization, confidence building, and basic obedience. This course prepares your puppy for a lifetime of success and includes the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy certification upon completion."
2-Week Daily Dog Training Program - On Leash
"This on-leash dog training program meets five days a week for two weeks. 3-Week Daily Dog Training Program - Off Leash
"Our advanced 3-week dog training program adds off-leash reliability. Dogs learn all the commands from the 2-week program plus recall (“come”), off-leash heel, and place from a distance. We train in your home, neighborhood, and public areas to ensure performance even around distractions."
Fear and Anxiety Dog Training Behavior Adjustment Training (BAT)
"Our Behavior Adjustment Training (BAT) is designed for dogs who are fearful, anxious, or lack confidence. We help dogs develop calm responses and build trust with their environment, reducing overreactions to people, animals, or unfamiliar settings. Training takes place in-home and in selected public areas."
Aggressive Dog Training - Constructional Aggression Treatment (CAT)
"This aggression-focused dog training program is for dogs that have bitten, growled, or shown reactive behavior. We use Constructional Aggression Treatment to safely modify aggression through structured, choice-based training sessions. Ideal for serious behavioral cases requiring expert support."
